### ERC 4337 Implementation<mark style="color:yellow;">👨‍🔬</mark>

After thorough research and careful consideration, we have started the implementation of ERC 4337, the new standard in smart contract wallets in the Paragon infrastructure. We recognized the immense benefits this standard offers for our users and have decided to adopt it. In this newsletter, we will delve into the advantages of smart contract wallets and explain how ERC 4337 elevates our product to the next level.

<figure><img src="https://274109320-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FOFU4YBkQE1WnRI6jE3ws%2Fuploads%2FHDIA2aTDWNWZDgfiVm0A%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=4e32ace8-893d-4e9e-b57c-8739b29bb654" alt=""><figcaption><p>The Implementation of ERC 4337</p></figcaption></figure>

ERC 4337 standard introduces a smarter way to make our wallets work seamlessly. We will be utilizing the Entry Point contract proposed by the standard, which has undergone a rigorous [audit](https://blog.openzeppelin.com/eip-4337-ethereum-account-abstraction-incremental-audit) by **OpenZeppelin**, a renowned authority in blockchain security.

For more documentation on ERC-4337 go [here](https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-4337).

One of the notable advantages of the ERC 4337 approach is the elimination of background transactions required for approving the Paragon contract on the Paragon Wallets. With this upgrade, our users will no longer face potential failures or delays due to approval processes running in the background. Instead, the creation of the wallet will be seamlessly integrated into the user journey, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience from the very beginning.\
In addition to the simplified user experience, adopting ERC 4337 offers a host of other benefits:<br>

1. Enhanced ***Monitoring*** and ***Administration***: The standard allows for easier tracking and management of relevant blockchain events. This enables us to stay on top of wallet activities, ensuring prompt responses and increased security.
2. State-of-the-Art Blockchain Technology: By embracing ERC 4337, we embrace the latest advancements in blockchain technology. This positions us at the forefront of innovation, delivering a cutting-edge solution to our valued users.
3. Utilizing OpenZeppelin for ***Key Custody***: With ERC 4337, we have the opportunity to leverage OpenZeppelin’s expertise to custody the private keys governing the smart contract wallets. This adds an extra layer of confidence in the security and integrity of our platform.

We are committed to continuously improving our product and user experience. The adoption of ERC 4337 and the implementation of smart contract wallets are pivotal steps toward achieving this goal. We are excited about the transformative impact this upgrade will have on our community and look forward to sharing more details in the coming weeks.
